Agenda Spring 2007 The Spring Conference for VCOPS will be held at the Holiday Inn Surfside (Map) in Virginia Beach, Virginia May 17th and 18th. Check-in at the Holiday Inn will be in the afternoon of Thursday May 17th. Our meeting will begin at 9AM on Friday the 18th (location to be posted in the lobby). The Agenda will be as follows: 9AM - Opening remarks Josh David and Chris Strope 9:30 - Guest Speaker Brian Polisuk of Woodley and McGillivary "Civil Liability for Police Officers in Virginia" 10:30 - Legal Review of issues confronting law enforcement officers and organizations. 11:30 - Review of 2007 Legislative Session and discussion of 2008 legislative topics - Chip Condon 12:00 - Break for Lunch 1:00 - Discussion on how VCOPS and organized labor can improve its results at the General Assembly. 2:00 - Fall Elections of the General Assembly. How VCOPS can make an impact. 3:00 - Adjourn |
