Greg has been a partner in the law firm of Woodley & McGillivary (formerly Mulholland & Hickey) since 1991 and has specialized in representing public sector unions and employees since 1985. He is the immediate past Union Chair of the American Bar Association’s Federal Labor Standards Committee, which has jurisdiction over such labor laws as the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Family and Medical Leave Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act and the Equal Pay Act, among others. Greg is on the Board of Editors of the "FLSA Treatise" and is currently authoring a book to be published on state wage and hour laws. Greg has successfully represented law enforcement employees in numerous lawsuits under the FLSA as well as other pay statutes. For example, he has obtained judgments in AFGE Local 3307 and Department of Homeland Security ($3,565,000 arbitration award in a pay case regarding miscalculation of overtime for Border Patrol Agents), Aamodt v. U.S. ($80,000,000 settlement after winning on liability at trial in FLSA case for criminal investigators), Moran v. U.S. ($2.2 million dollar settlement in FLSA case on behalf of New York state criminal investigators after winning on summary judgment and being affirmed by U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit), Adkins v. U.S. ($14,000,000 settlement in FLSA case for deputy U.S. marshals), Adam v. U.S., ($11,000,000 settlement for Senior Border Patrol agents in FLSA case) Van Tine v. U.S, (settlement of one hour of FLSA pay per day for canine handlers time caring for police dogs along with $1,000,000 in back pay). Mr. McGillivary obtained his J.D. at the University of Oregon where he was the Articles Editor of the Oregon Law Review. The law firm of Woodley & McGillivary has eleven lawyers all of whom are
