For 12 years Robert "Bobby" Mathieson has carried the torch for working Law Enforcement in Virginia. His efforts have helped the Virginia Coalition of Police and Deputy Sheriffs become the most respected authority for working Police Officers in the Commonwealth. Bobby has stepped up from the ranks of working Police Officers to take a job as the Deputy Director of the Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) in Richmond. His is the first top level position in DCJS held by a working cop. In a state where they said unions just wouldn't succeed Bobby and VCOPS have proved the nay-sayers wrong.
