The Virginia Coalition enthusiastically supports the candidacy
of Robert "Bobby" Mathieson for Delegate in the 21st District of Virginia.
Bobby served as the Secretary Treasurer of the Virginia Coalition of Police and
Deputy Sheriffs from its inception until he was appointed as the Deputy Director
for the Department of Criminal Justice Services under Governor Warner in 2002.
Bobby was the first working police officer from the rank and file to be
appointed to a position in DCJS in the history of Virginia policing.
Bobby Mathieson has proved himself as a true leader and advocate for the working

These hot, muggy August days are the toughest of the year for candidates.
The excitement of Fourth of July parades is passed, walking from door to
door is downright uncomfortable, and everyone else seems like they're on
vacation.
But you know what they say about what happens when the going gets tough -
the tough get going. And that's exactly what Democratic legislative
candidates across the Commonwealth are doing right now going from door to
door, leading the way to a better General Assembly one voter at a time.
If we're going to win back the General Assembly this year and give every
Virginia child an opportunity for pre-kindergarten education, we need to
focus our resources on the close races that we can win if we pull together.
I've identified those races and have been featuring key candidates on my
website - now I'm asking you to help me support these candidates with

I would like to bring to your attention to two effective candidates.
Roscoe Reynolds has served Southside, VA since 1969, He's served as
Commonwealth's Attorney for Henry county, as delegate and now serves in the
state Senate. Roscoe's fought hard for economic development, bringing more
than 3,600 new jobs to the area since 2003.
Bobby Mathieson served Virginia Beach as a
police officer for 25 years. He's worked hard to protect our community and
children on street patrol and as a narcotics officer. Bobby knows firsthand
what it takes to keep our community safe and his experience in public safety
will be invaluable in the General Assembly. I need more partners like these
in the General Assembly and I'm asking you to support these candidates with
financial contributions.
